Andrea & Bingo

Bingo is a bit of a clown and LOVES attention, so he’s a natural as a pet partner! Andrea and Bingo both love visiting nursing homes where Bingo is allowed to jump up on beds to say “HI”. They also love visiting Marquette General Hospital. Smiles, handshakes, hugs and kisses from Bingo are all part of “the routine”. They have fun and hope those with whom they visit do too!

Darlene, K.C. & Chloe

K.C. & Chloe are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were each born in 2002. Darlene, K.C., & Chloe participate in Animal Assisted Therapy at Marquette General Hospital and nursing home visits. They participate in the Peter White Library reading program, the Bay Cliff weekend for the mentally and physically challenged, bite prevention seminars and health and well being fairs.
Darlene's most memorable dog therapy experience occurred while working with a hospital physical therapist and one of his stroke patients. The patient could not speak or use his left arm. The physical therapist put both KC & Chloe on the therapy table to encourage the patient to brush and pet them. It was the first time in therapy clear words were spoken, "nice dogs". It was an encouraging sign for all future therapy sessions

Kathi & Eddie with Amos & Tessa

Both Amos and Tessa are Bloodhounds adopted from Midwest Bloodhound Rescue by Kathi and Eddy.  After Amos' adoption in 2002, he and Kathi became a certified Pet Partner Team spending time visiting at Marquette General Hospital.  Amos was lonesome so Tessa was adopted in August of 2005.  Eddy saw all the fun Kathi and Amos were having and decided to join the family.  Eddy and Tessa passed the Delta Society's testing were certified as a Pet Partner team on May 2, 2006.
While looking alike, Amos and Tessa are very different in their personalities. Tessa is fulll of energy and very "nosey". Amos is a laid back fellow who lives to be petted.  Both have one thing in common,  they love being pet partners and bringing a little sunshine to people they meet.

Sharron & Napoleon

Napoleon is a typical French Bulldog--a real social butterfly and a clown.  He loves his visits to the hospital and getting pet by all the different people he meets.  He quickly learned who keeps doggie treats!  He also likes to help children through bite prevention seminars.
